23 years old I turned on friday, October 18th. I went on a weekend getaway to Palm Springs. Dressed like a “Free Bird” I am wearing this gorgeous, teal floor length, chiffon wrap dress with magenta birds soaring all over the fabric, from the Reformation. This couldn’t have matched the desert more perfectly. I am also wearing my favorite body chain by, Bliss Lau. My vintage Ray-Ban rounds and rings by Jacquie Aiche & Catbird.
I had birthday dinner at The Parker… I surely have been missing out. This place is so peaceful and beautiful at night. It felt like I was on the set of Jurassic Park.

Sundays for me are an excuse to lounge around my apartment and be a hermit. They are a nice day for cooking and being with friends that I love. Today, I slept in and rolled out of bed but of course made somewhat of an effort when slipping into my silk Rory Beca, V-Neck long sleeve dress with piping in Aqua. I have been on a somewhat clean eating program and prepared one of my favorite dishes for my friend, Sara this evening.

Ingredients for two:
Arugula
1 Lemon
1 Avocado
1 Yellow Pepper
1/2 of a Jalapeno
1 Cup of Quinoa
Diced onions
Asparagus
Cilantro
Chili Flakes

Preparing the meal:
Cook 1 cup of the quinoa for 15 minutes (Let this boil while your washing and cutting veggies)
Soak Arugula with half of a lemon
Sautee two tablespoons of onions and then toss in chopped Asparagus. I usually add 4-5 Asparagus and sautee for about 5-10 minutes, until cooked all the way through.
Chop half of the yellow pepper
Dice one whole Avocado
Dice jalapeno
Add everything in then squeeze the other half of the lemon, and add chilli flakes.
Mix and serve!

Hope you enjoy this light healthy summer eat.

Yesterday, I took a stroll along Santa Monica Pier in my frosty white, Camilla & Marc S/S 13 woven ribbon back romper. This romper is much warmer than the typical romper, which is a plus for me since I’m always cold. This romper is very chic and an outfit in itself. You could totally spice this up with a detailed necklace if you’d like. I was wearing my Bliss Lau chain, underneath.
I have a confession friends… I am not one to typically wear a stiletto heel during the day, let alone on a boardwalk but Camilla Skovgaard, makes some of the most comfortable heels. The platforms on these grey caged open booties are built for walking. I paired this whole outfit with a Lulu Guinness Perspex Lips Clutch. Which you can find here.
I am on a cleanse and have had a pretty difficult time eating out because there are not too many restaurants that cook, “clean”/I also get extremely jealous of everyone eating around me =X. I tried True Food Kitchen in Santa Monica, and think I found my new spot. They were so accommodating and made the best Kale, Lemon, Ginger juice. Many gluten free and vegetarian options.
