Shopbop demonstrates a few new ways to get your fix of menswear inspired looks!
I think it’s fair to say that I’m definitely craving these layered and mixed textured ensembles.
I also believe that this Fall and Winter if you’re in the under 5’5 club you are in luck; as you can get away with a strong shoe game without a big platform heel. Creepers, loafers, and booties are the seasoning!
SURPRISE GUYS!
You can shop the looks above and MORE, while taking advantage of my favorite sale of the season beginning Wednesday, October 12th at 7AM Eastern Time until Friday, October 14th midnight Eastern Time.

How to get a naturally luminous look / By: Alexa N. Hernandez
Photos By: Leo Deveney
Jewelry: Jacquie Aiche/Catbird
Blouse: Think Closet
First Step: Toning the skin with Sunday Riley’s ‘Martian Mattifying Melting Water Gel Toner‘ to prep the skin and to keep the dewy look in the right places which are the high points of the face not the T-Zone.
Second Step: Sunday Riley’s ‘Good Genes‘. This step is amazing because it contains a lactic acid that gently helps exfoliate any dead skin and also consists of a pearl finish, which is crucial for that glow we all want.
Third Step: Sunday Riley’s ‘UFO Oil‘ for an additional glow and continued hydration. Not only does this oil help treat active breakouts but it also helps reduce pore sizes because of the salicylic acid and tea tree oil. It also balances any dryness with it’s milk thistle and cucumber ingredients.
Fourth Step: A few blemish/under eye touch ups with Nars ‘Vanilla Radiant Concealer‘. This concealer provides the perfect amount of coverage avoiding that caked on look that most concealers do.
Fifth Step: Glossier’s ‘Boy Brow‘ brow gel in brown. I have tried many brow pencils and gels, and this one is perfect giving you that natural brow look.
Sixth Step: Alexa used the Vapor Halo ‘Illuminator‘ on the high points of my cheeks, corner of the eyes, and nose to really finalize that dewy fresh face.
Final Step: Dinoplatz ‘Peach Melba Lipbalm‘ for that hydrated, and slightly tinted lip.
Second Look: Transitioning into a toned down evening look.
Step 1: Repeat Sunday Riley’s ‘Good Genes‘ adding luminosity and hydration.
Step 2: Tom Ford ‘Shade & Illuminate‘ this is the most fool proof sculptor the texture is so sheer that you can build up from a light chisel to a full contour.
Step 3: Charlotte Tilbury ‘Blush in Ecstasy‘ an extra glow.
Step 4: Charlotte Tilbury ‘Cara D‘ Brow Definition. This pencil is wonderful because it defines the brow without hiding the hairs to give you depth.
Step 5: Eyes that glitter provided by Lemonhead’s, ‘Adult Film’. This glitter is vegan and made with coconut oil unlike most harsh glitters that irritate the skin. This glitter looks so fresh, and is great because it’s translucent yet adds iridescence to the eyes.
Step 6: Dinoplatz ‘Escalator Mascara‘ this jet black mascara, thickens up the lashes extremely quickly and provides full volume!
Final Step: Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution Lipstick ‘Birkin Brown‘, Alexa chose brown for my lip to add a classic contrast to the fun glitter eye, and also a unique alternative color for Fall.

I can now officially check off my list that I swam with pigs!
What a crazy experience that was!! Thank you Exuma Water Sports for the fantastic adventure you took me on. These pigs are living the life on one of the beautiful islands located in the Bahamas. They get to roam the island, eat regular meals, and work on their beautiful piggy tans. It’s so refreshing to see these beings living cruelty free, and getting all the love in the World from the Tourists that come to the Bahamas.
I’m so thrilled to see that they are not living in captivity!
