Bollare DIY Night: Beauty Fashion & Lifestyle

Bollare is a bi-coastally headquartered, full-service, beauty, fashion and lifestyle public relations firm between Los Angeles and New York.

Last night the Bollare Showroom hosted a DIY night… It was such a blast! Such an excellent way to bring the blogger community together, to socialize and get creative! From sweatshirt making with Reformation, with patches and letters, to decorating canvas pouches with stones and fabric markers from Line&Dot, to Blueprint Juice cocktail making, to braiding from one of the talented hair stylists at the Curt Darling Salon , to a personal dream readings…The list just doesn’t stop. I went home with some great new goodies and a smile on my face.

Thanks for a great night Bollare!

TGIF Anton Heunis

Both pieces from the “Tsarnia” Collection.
Both pieces from the “Mood For Love” Collection.

I was introduced to Anton Heunis‘ jewelry at one of my favorite little boutiques, Les Pomettes on Robertson. I continuously wear my ‘Floral Motif’ multi-colored jeweled statement necklace, and will never be able to part ways. Anton is a master at creating the ultimate conversation piece. The bold colors he uses in his multi-faceted collection for Fall is breathtaking. I have lately found myself driven towards dainty jewelry but can always make an exception for Anton’s costume pieces.
“Anton Heunis is a global jewellery label that creates unique pieces, stocked in over 200 of the world’s most exclusive department stores and shops. Every design is handmade in the studio, located in the historical center of Madrid, with high quality materials. Rare vintage glass, Swarovski crystals and semiprecious stones are finely crafted to achieve a contemporary aesthetic with a timeless feel.”

And She Was

Photos By: Lina Esco

The themed song for the day was “And She Was” naturally because I was wearing a vintage Talking Heads band tee shirt paired with this slick boyfriend style Fall 13 ‘Castor in black’ Veda Vest, make sure you hop onto their website for this one . I also wore a pair of throwback Rag&Bone black coated denim with gold hair wear skinnies, and my YSL classic opened toe tribute here. In the accessories department I have on my Moscot sunnies, and Jerome Dreyfuss Emerald handbag that was the best summer sale purchase, ever.

Are any of you Ebay perusers or shoppers? Looking for new, well kept, story pieces  for yourself or for a gift? Here is a spectacular reason to create an account and start bidding! Above are just a few pieces being donated by the talented and beautiful, Glenn Close. She has decided to donate her clothing and accessories from TV Show, Damages, the American legal thriller, where Glenn plays the role of Patty Hewes a strong litigator. I must say the wardrobe was quite on point and sharp for all five seasons. Some of the designers include; Giorgio Armani, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Domenico Vacca and much more.

Why you may ask? Well not only is Glenn extremely talented but she has quite a heart.  Glenn and her daughter, Annie Maude Starke Close, a dear friend of mine, have created an organization called, “Bring Change 2 Mind.” With the intention of putting an end to the stigmatization of mental illness, which needs to stop…NOW!
