This is a delayed post but here are photos of Annie Starke Close with her Mama Bear at the Guardians Of Galaxy Premier styled by Yours Truly.
I styled this Panam story that was a part of Tyler Shields, “Historical Fiction” series, which is now showing at the Andrew Weiss Gallery. This project was so much fun for me, since I’m extremely inspired by fifties through seventies fashion. I searched local costume houses, as well as neighborly vintage stores, to complete everyone’s airplane looks.
I am off to the races this upcoming Easter Weekend in Keeneland. The style I’m aiming for is “Derby Fashion” from the Sixties/Seventies. A big floppy hat, sheer or knitted floor length, and midi dresses, and my favorite part, which is over the top accessories. I will be mastering these looks with vintage finds. Turquoise, pearls, and basket woven handbags are a nice added touch to lock in the perfect “Derby” look.

Tara shot photos of me the other day in my home nestled in the hills. She’s putting together a series where she shoots girls that are wearing clothing that matches their hair color.
She started with me creating a very blue story.
24 years young, I turned on October 18th.
I celebrated this year in my new home in the Canyon, with close friends, my vintage dress, gourmet food provided by Chef Jerumel of La Tabela, and music sung by the songbird herself, Jade Hendrix.
The key to conquering a perfect dinner party is the following:
& Most importantly
The Courses by Chef Jerumel:
A roasted garlic aioli with edible soil,
white tip asparagus, farm raised purple carrots and edible flowers
Vegetable linguini with red beet coconu puree, honey almonds,
goat cheese, & champagne vinaigrette
Onion jam, with raw chimichurri, potato fingerling rosemary confit,
chicken valentine & charred green onions
Chef Jerumel has cooked ever since he was a young boy. He grew up in the Valley and went to UCSB, but finished his Chef Externship in Barcelona. He lived in Spain from 2006-2007.
Jerumel helped open up Cafe Pinot here in Los Angeles and worked as a Sous Chef for two years.
In 2012 Jerumel linked up with his childhood friend, Brandon Diperio who was raising a farm in Topanga Canyon. The day after they rekindled their friendship they built a saloon and their baby, “La Tabela” was born.
Jerumel & Brandon curated a space where 30 strangers could comfortably sit and dine at a communal table in a rustic/charming shed.
A fun fact about Jerumel: He teaches a free Kundalini/Gong Bath at Grand Park every Saturday at nine AM. He also has a school called Gentlemen Yoga geared towards grooming your inner gentleman, and a healing camp called Mahan which is mobile healing/body work/ and massage.
