“So I’m back, to the velvet underground
Back to the floor, that I love
To a room with some lace and pAper flowers
Back to the gypsy that I was
To the gypsy… that I was
And it all comes down to you
Well, you know that it does
Well, lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
Ah, and it lights up the night
And you see your gypsy
You see your gypsy
To the gypsy that remains faces freedom with a little fear
I have no fear, I have only love
And if I was a child
And the child was enough
Enough for me to love
Enough to love
She is dancing away from me now
She was just a wish
She was just a wish
And a memory is all that is left for you now
You see your gypsy
You see your gypsy
Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you
And it all comes down to you
Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you
I still see your bright eyes, bright eyes
And it all comes down to you
I still see your bright eyes, bright eyes
And it all comes down to you
I still see your bright eyes, bright eyes
(She was just a wish)
(She was just a wish)
And it all comes down to you
Lightning strikes, maybe once, maybe twice
And it all comes down to you”
-Stevie Nicks “Gypsy”
This is one of my absolute favorite songs by Fleetwood Mac. Stevie Nicks has always been a major style influence for the bohemian side of my soul. Living in Laurel Canyon really brings out the boho aesthetic not only in my home, but also in my everyday style. Everybody has their “go to” uniform in their ensemble, mine typically consists of a pair of vintage levis, mom jeans. This “Suede Cropped Vest” designed by, Nasty Gal really spruces up that look.

I am off to the races this upcoming Easter Weekend in Keeneland. The style I’m aiming for is “Derby Fashion” from the Sixties/Seventies. A big floppy hat, sheer or knitted floor length, and midi dresses, and my favorite part, which is over the top accessories. I will be mastering these looks with vintage finds. Turquoise, pearls, and basket woven handbags are a nice added touch to lock in the perfect “Derby” look.

Tara shot photos of me the other day in my home nestled in the hills. She’s putting together a series where she shoots girls that are wearing clothing that matches their hair color.
She started with me creating a very blue story.

Are you a vintage lover? Then put it on your “To Do List” to go and check out the vintage store, Raggedy Threads. This little nest of treasures is located in Little Tokyo in Downtown Los Angeles.
The beautiful lace embroidered dress and belt that I have on, are just a couple examples of the gems you will find!
You can also layer this dress with a giant sweater, or long coat, and add a ballet flat.

Hands down… Fall is by far my favorite time of the year. People’s spirits seem lifted, the holiday candles are lit, the fireplace get’s turned on and most of all… Comfy sweaters, and coats get taken out of my closet and get to go for a spin. I took a lovely stroll in my newest investment my, All Saints, “City Monument” Coat. This Asymmetrical, long sleeved, slim shouldered black stallion provides just the right amount of warmth, and is still fashionable with it’s added black metal turn lock clasp. Underneath, I am wearing a long sleeved ‘Vintage Paisley’ romper by Motel Rocks. My shoes are a classic by Surface To Air, “Pandora VI”, and can probably be worn even some days or nights through Los Angeles’s “winter”. I also had to wear my “Safety Sunnies” I can’t get enough of them!
